1. General information about the processing of personal data

We, CONTECS engineering services GmbH (hereinafter “CONTECS”), take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We only collect and process personal data when it is necessary to fulfill our contractual or legal obligations or to protect our legitimate interests, in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. This means that data is only processed when there is a legal basis for it. Below, we explain which personal data is processed in connection with our website and how we protect your data.

2. Data Processing when visiting our websites

(1) When using our websites for purely informational purposes, i.e., when you do not submit an inquiry, log in, or otherwise transmit personal information to us, we process the following data that your browser sends to our server and that is technically necessary to display our websites and ensure their stability and security:

– Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

– Content of the request (specific page)

– Access status/HTTP status code

– Amount of data transferred in each case

– Website from which the request originates

– Websites visited by you on our platform

– Operating system and its interface

– Language and version of the browser software

 

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, namely our legitimate interest in displaying the accessed websites.

 

(2) In addition to the aforementioned data, when you use our websites, cookies are stored on your device. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and associated with your browser, providing us with information. They are used to make our web offering more secure, user-friendly, and effective. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, namely our legitimate interest in improving the user-friendliness of our web offering and evaluating our online marketing activities.

 

You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences, for example, to reject the acceptance of cookies. We would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our websites.

The processing of personal data of website visitors takes place within the territory of the European Union, Israel, or in a third country, in the territory of which or in one or more specified sectors within that third country, the European Commission has decided that it ensures an adequate level of protection, and such processing and transfer takes place in accordance with the Data Processing Addendum - Users ("DPA"). Any transfer to and processing in a third country outside the European Union that, in the view of the European Commission, does not ensure an adequate level of protection must be carried out within the framework of an approved transfer procedure, as further specified in the DPA.

(4) The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.

 

3. Rights of data subjects

(1) Right to Information:

You can request information pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR about your personal data that we process.

(2) Right to Object:

You have a right to object for specific reasons (see under Section 4).

(3) Right to Rectification:

If the information concerning you is (no longer) correct, you can request rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR. If your data is incomplete, you can request completion.

(4) Right to Erasure:

You can request the erasure of your personal data pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR.

(5) Right to Restriction of Processing:

Pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data.

(6) Right to Lodge a Complaint:

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law, you have the right under Ar. 77 para. 1 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority of your choice.

(7) Right to Data Portability:

If the conditions of Art. 20 para. 1 GDPR are met, you have the right to receive the data that we process automatically based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract, either to yourself or to third parties. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of log files are necessary for the operation of the website. Therefore, they do not rely on consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 letter a GDPR or on a contract pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 letter b GDPR but are justified pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR. Therefore, the conditions of Art. 20 para. 1 GDPR are not fulfilled in this respect.

 

4. Right to object pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR

You have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data based on Article 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR. The controller will then no longer process the personal data unless he can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of log files are necessary for the operation of the website.

 

5. Final provisions

(1) We use technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, in particular against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against attacks by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

(2) We will update the data protection declaration from time to time due to the technical progress of our offers. If the change to the Privacy Policy does not affect the use of existing data, the new Privacy Policy will apply from the date it is updated on our website. A change to the data protection declaration relating to the use of data already collected will only be made if it is reasonable for you to accept it. In such a case we will inform you in good time by e-mail, on our websites, in our application or in any other form. You have the right to object to the validity of the new data protection declaration within four weeks of receipt of the notification. In the event of objection, we reserve the right to terminate the contractual relationship. If there is no objection within the stated period, the amended data protection declaration shall be deemed to have been accepted by you. We will inform you of your right to object and the significance of the objection period in the notification.
